New UKIP billboards go up

The second batch of billboard advertisements went up this morning as UKIP maintains the pressure in the by-election campaign.

The main message - "Vote Blue Labour - Get New Labour" underlines the near identical policy positions of Labour and the Tories, with the sub-heading highlighting Tory candidate Bob Neill's New Labour beliefs: in European Union, high taxes and unlimited immigration.

UKIP candidate Nigel Farage said, "These billboards continue our strong, policy based campaign, and are designed to show Bromley & Chislehurst's voters that only UKIP believes in a strong, independent UK with low taxes and controlled immigration; policies which Tory candidate Bob Neill rejects.

"With polling day only 10 days away, voters are beginning to realise that the only difference between the traditional parties is style, not substance. Only a vote for UKIP will send the message to Westminster that it is time for a change."
